King of the Trail: 2025 Ford Bronco vs 2025 Jeep Wrangler

If you are an off-road enthusiast, then you know there is nothing like driving through a challenging trail, traversing dunes, or cutting through forest streams. It is all about having the right vehicle. For many years, your only real option was a Jeep Wrangler unless you were willing to spring for a pickup truck with 4x4. But that all changed in 2021 when Ford reintroduced the world to the Bronco with an all-new, off-road design. The folks at Ford had used the 25 years since the Bronco's discontinuation to turn the model into a true challenger to the Jeep Wrangler for the title of King of the Trail. more If you are looking for a Ford Bronco for sale, the place to go is Lupient Ford. We are an authorized Ford dealership, able to get you the 2025 Bronco at the trim level you want with the features you need for your next adventure. Our team will work hard to get you a great deal on a Bronco. Two Off-Road SUVs With Some Common Features When you are comparing the 2025 Ford Bronco with the 2025 Jeep Wrangler, you will notice that the two models have a number of things in common. For one thing, both come standard with 4x4. The entry-level models have part-time 4x4 systems, while the higher trims come with automatic 4x4. However, only the Bronco has up to seven GOAT (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes. This is designed to help you adjust the performance of your Bronco depending on the terrain you encounter. Ford and Jeep also give you a choice of two-door and four-door models, with hard or soft tops that include removable roof and door panels. However, Ford made a few improvements here, such as designing the doors to fit comfortably in the cargo area and engineering them so that you keep your side mirrors when you take the doors off. Nevertheless, if you want to do some trail running while letting the sunshine in, you can go for it in either a Bronco or a Wrangler. Powertrain Performance That Lets the Bronco Stampede the Wrangler Not counting specialty variants like the Bronco Raptor and Wrangler 392, both the 2025 Ford Bronco and 2025 Jeep Wrangler come with a choice of two engine options for the majority of their trims. However, the two brands took different approaches with the powertrains they offered. The base engine on the 2025 Bronco is a 2.3L EcoBoost turbocharged I-4 with a choice of a seven-speed manual transmission and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Either way, you will get an engine that delivers 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. This will get you to 60 mph in about seven seconds, which is all the acceleration you need to merge onto a busy highway at rush hour. The bigger 2.7L EcoBoost turbocharged V6 comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine is standard on higher trims, but it is also an option if you choose the midlevel Heritage Edition or Outer Banks. This engine boosts the output of the Bronco, giving it 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. This will get you from zero to 60 mph in closer to six seconds. Jeep also has two engines but does something different from Ford. The entry-level engine is actually larger than the available upgrade. This engine is a naturally aspirated 3.6L Pentastar V6. It comes with your choice of a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. However, as you can see, Ford gives you more gears for your engine. In addition, even though the Pentastar V6 is bigger than the 2.3L EcoBoost I-4, it only delivers 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The available engine on the 2025 Wrangler is a 2.0L turbocharged I-4. This comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the turbocharging boosting the output of the relatively small engine to 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. However, this is still lower than any of the engines on the Bronco. It is also tuned more for improved efficiency than performance. Interior Space That Helps the Bronco Trample the Wrangler While both models offer similar configuration options, with a two-door model seating up to four passengers and a four-door version providing room for up to five, the Bronco gives you more room inside than the Jeep. For example, the two-door models of the Wrangler and the Bronco give the two passengers in the back 35.7 inches of legroom, but front-row passengers on the Bronco get 43.1 inches compared to only 41.2 inches on the Wrangler. The same goes for the four-door models, with the front row giving you more legroom in the Bronco. This spatial difference is even more pronounced when you look at the cargo capacity of both models. The two-door Bronco has 22.4 cu.ft. of space in its trunk, compared to only 12.9 cu.ft. in the Wrangler. If you fold down the rear row of seats, this difference becomes even more pronounced, with the Bronco providing an impressive 52.3 cu.ft., compared to only 31.7 cu.ft. in the Wrangler. The same issue arises with the Wrangler Unlimited, which has a smaller trunk capacity than the four-door Bronco. While the Wrangler Unlimited has 31.7 cu.ft. of space in the back, the Bronco provides 35.6 cu.ft. in hard top models and an incredible 38.3 cu.ft. if you opt for a soft top on your Bronco. Exterior Dimensions That Help the Bronco Trot Past the Wrangler When you are out on the trail, you want to know that you have the capability to get over whatever obstacles may be in your path. While both of these models provide features like advanced 4x4 drivetrains and specialized off-road suspensions, the Bronco will give you more to get around than the Wrangler. For example, the Bronco has up to 11.6 inches of ground clearance on its base trims, with the Bronco Raptor providing an exceptional 13.1 inches. This is more than the Jeep Wrangler, which has 10.8 inches of ground clearance on most trims, with a maximum of 12.9 inches on the Rubicon 392—but only if you opt for the Xtreme 35-inch Tire Package. When you are off-roading, every inch counts. Infotainment Systems to Keep in Touch When Off-Roading Whether you choose the 2025 Ford Bronco or the 2025 Jeep Wrangler, you are going to get an advanced infotainment system on your SUV. The Ford comes with the SYNC 4 system on a 12-inch touchscreen, and the Wrangler has the Jeep Uconnect 5 system on a 12.3-inch touchscreen. While the Jeep has a slightly larger screen than the Ford Bronco, both models have comparable features and offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows you to link your phones to your infotainment system even if you left your charging cables at home. As a result, you can make hands-free calls and text, access your favorite apps, and stream your favorite music without needing any wires. The Ford Bronco Is the New King of the Trail Ford has pulled out all of the stops with the Bronco. This is why it has called its off-road terrain management system "GOAT" because it is the Greatest Of All Time at Going Over Any Type of Terrain. While the Jeep Wrangler is a fine vehicle in its own right, it just can’t match up to what you get when you choose the Bronco. Stampede over today and roll out in a 2025 Ford Bronco!
