Ford vehicles are among the most impressive and sophisticated in the auto industry, delivering incredible performance and gorgeous styling that keeps people talking year after year. The SUVs that you’ll find here at your favorite Ford dealer are in a class all their own, delivering bold power and stunning interior features designed to impress. While Ford trucks get a lot of attention—with good reason—Ford SUVs are the perfect option if you need a daily driver that transforms every moment on the road into one you will remember. You have a variety of impressive options available to you for the 2025 model year, so let’s take a look at each of them and see if we can figure out which one will best meet your needs.

2025 Ford Escape: Compact Design, Big Performance

We’re going to mostly go in ascending order by size when looking at Ford’s 2025 SUV lineup since it keeps things simple. The Escape is a compact SUV and a terrific entry-level option if you are looking for something straightforward and fun to drive. This is a two-row model with seating inside for five passengers, making it a great choice for individuals, couples, and small families. Its compact design makes it easy to fit into pretty much any lifestyle, and finding parking spots is quite simple with it as a result. You’ll find 37.5 cu.ft. of rear cargo space in this one and 65.4 cu.ft. of total cargo volume behind the front seats.

One of our favorite things about the 2025 Escape is that you have numerous powertrain options available to you, so you can get the kind of performance and driving experience you want. The standard engine for the 2025 Escape is a 1.5L turbocharged I-3 that offers 180 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque; you can boost that with an available 2.0L turbocharged I-4 that delivers 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. If you prefer to optimize fuel efficiency, then both hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the Escape are available, giving you even more terrific options. All of this comes together to create something that’s great for a wide range of drivers looking for a compact SUV.

2025 Ford Explorer: Three Rows for More Passengers

If you’re looking for something bigger, with more seating inside, then the Ford Explorer is a great choice that provides you with a more spacious interior. Although this isn’t the largest SUV in the Ford lineup (we’ll get to that one in a moment), it’s a three-row model that gives you seating inside for up to seven passengers. That makes this a great option if you have a growing family or a big group of friends and you want the option to have more folks come along with you. We should mention, however, that the third row is best suited for kids or passengers with short legs, so keep that in mind.

In terms of interior cargo space, you get 16.3 cu.ft. of space behind the rear seats, with 46 cu.ft. of cargo room behind the second row and 85.8 cu.ft. of total cargo volume behind the front row. You can see this is a lot of room overall, so you get plenty of seating for the people in your life, plus lots of space for the stuff you need to bring along with you. A gorgeous 13.2-inch infotainment display is standard in every Explorer trim, along with a 10-way power driver’s seat and heated front seats.

2025 Ford Expedition: Full-Size Power and Design

The largest SUV in Ford’s lineup is the Expedition, so if you need something with a ton of interior space, then this is the one you should look at. You have your choice of a couple of powerful engines with this model, which makes sense since it’s a full-size SUV, and you want to find plenty of power under the hood. A 3.5L turbocharged V6 engine is standard, which gives you 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque; for boosted performance, select trims come with a High-Output version of this engine tuned for 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. You can’t go wrong with either of these engines, and they both come paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Much like the Explorer, this is a three-row SUV that gives you a lot of room inside to accommodate both passengers and cargo. You can get seating for up to eight people with the Expedition, however, and it’s larger overall, so this is a fantastic choice for big families. A 13.2-inch infotainment screen is standard inside the 2025 Expedition, along with a 24-inch Panoramic Display Instrument Panel, which makes it easy to keep track of important information. The new Ford Split Gate in the rear gives you functionality much like a truck, creating a large and powerful SUV that’s perfect for camping, tailgating, running errands, and everything else you need to do.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport: Small and Adventurous SUV

Now let’s take a look at two fantastic options if you’re looking for an adventurous SUV that can take you off-road like few other models out there. First, the Bronco Sport is a subcompact option, so it’s the perfect choice if you’re looking for something small with plenty of capability packed into it. The Bronco Sport comes with a 180 hp 1.5L engine, which is perfect if you’re looking for something to use primarily as a daily driver. If you want enhanced performance with greater power for tearing up the trail, then there’s an available 2.0L engine that delivers 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque.

Despite its small size, this is still a very functional SUV, giving you 32.5 cu.ft. of rear cargo space to utilize and 65.2 cu.ft. of total cargo volume behind the front seats. This is an incredibly capable SUV that comes with four-wheel drive and terrific standard features inside and out. You also get Ford’s new Terrain Management System with the Bronco Sport, which includes numerous Goes Over Any Type of Terrain (GOAT) Modes that are perfect for heading off-road or dealing with rough winter weather.

2025 Ford Bronco: Legendary Off-Road Capability

If you’re looking for an SUV that can do some serious off-roading, putting just about everything else out there to shame, then you should check out the Bronco. This is a larger option than the Bronco Sport and has more power under the hood than its smaller sibling. A 300-hp engine is standard for the Bronco, with a 330-hp V6 available if you’re looking for enhanced performance. There’s even a 418-hp engine offered for the Bronco Raptor trim, though that’s a high-performance off-road option.

Incredible capability is the name of the game with the Bronco, and it includes the impressive Terrain Management System with numerous GOAT Modes that you find with the Bronco Sport. Five of these modes are standard on the Bronco, though select trims have up to seven modes for boosted performance and capabilities out on the trail. With the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system, you get an SUV that can handle all sorts of terrain, making it perfect for heading out camping, tackling challenge trails, and getting around town each day.
